Greetings,

John, I can understand your concerns, as yet, only read replies on the
ViGenAccess group but here is my experience of today.

Went into my polling station, they had to find the template, nobody seemed
to know how it should be used and, when I received it to examine, I
explained how to place over the voting slip with lift-up flaps alligned to
the boxes.

In our case, we had five candidates, from t to b these were UKIP,
Conservative, Green, Labour and LibDem, one of the officials read these to
me, placed the slip correctly under the template, turned away, I lifted the
flap and made my cross in the form of a letter x, this, I understand, to be
the correct way of making a mark.

All happened smoothly and no problems, I received thanks for my explanation.

Oh yes, the pencil string er not present! I gather it had come off!
