Chris, that's excellent news, thanks. I have taken the plunge for a 64 bit acer laptop and was hoping not to have to spend hours looking up the odd driver. Cheers, Mark Threadgold Of all the things I have ever lost, The one I miss most is my mind... -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of chris hallsworth Sent: 11 June 2011 11:29 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Win7 plug and play Hi Mark. Windows 7 is very good at detecting and installing device drivers. But it gets better. If a suitable driver cannot be found it will search for, download and install the latest drivers from the internet, all automatically. So no need to hunt down drivers anymore. I was amazed that I was able to just connect my printer/scanner up to my Windows 7 64 bit laptop for it to then go out and get appropriate drivers. Chat soon.
