Hi Peter,
A friend of mine wants to know the name and source of the accessible free
sat box you referred to previously.
Still waiting those other details.
Kind regards
Aedan.

The other nice thing is that for many of my devices not only has it got the
driver automatically but the supporting software to give full functionality.

I'm sure that won't happen for all devices though and I have had a couple
not supported out the box but certainly nothing I've not been able to get to

work following the manufacturers instructions and downloading the driver
myself.

Peter

Chris, that's excellent news, thanks. I have taken the plunge for a 64 bit
acer laptop and was hoping not to have to spend hours looking up the odd
driver.

Cheers,

Hi Mark.
Windows 7 is very good at detecting and installing device drivers. But
it gets better. If a suitable driver cannot be found it will search for,
download and install the latest drivers from the internet, all
automatically. So no need to hunt down drivers anymore. I was amazed
that I was able to just connect my printer/scanner up to my Windows 7 64
bit laptop for it to then go out and get appropriate drivers.
Chat soon.
