Hi Chris

It seems to be resolved now, thanks to the moderator's intervention. But I have had this problem with Yahoo before, and I just can't remember how I fixed it, but it involved going to the Yahoogroups website and resetting something because the list I belonged to at the time caused no end of problems, or rather, Yahoo did.

Anyway, it looks as if I'm up and running now, thanks.

Hi. I had a similar issue, but it involves a separate list. The only workaround is to either sign up to Yahoo or pester the moderator to sign you up on your behalf. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's the only thing I can think of for now. Hope that helps, and, of course, good luck in joining the list!

Hi Guys

Actually I'm having some grief with Yahoo just now, so perhaps someone could give me an answer to this query as well.

I am trying to subscribe to the VI Gen Access group, and sent the usual reply to confirm my desire to join the list. But when I didn't hear for about three or four days, I tried to re-subscribe, and keep being told my membership hasn't been approved. But the moderator of that group has confirmed she has not seen my request come through.

I'm sure this is familiar territory, so where do you go to reset your activation or whatever it is you do as this has happened to me in the past.

They really are useless (scream).

Many thanks.

Jackie

Agreed. Also, if for some reason you do want to set up another yahoo address - don't bother closing the old one. Just set up a new one and stop checking the old one. They'll probably deactivate the old one after a certain time of you not checking it anyway and if they don't it's their problem.

Ari, close down Yahoo altogether and switch to Googlemail/Gmail <grins>.

Hi all,
Is there anywhere where I can deactivate a yahoo mail address? Basically, this one yahoo address I have is getting so much spam, I'd like to somehow close it down and make a new one, or can you have more than one yahoo address, but I would prefer just to close it, where would I go on the Yahoo page?
Ari
