Why not use your phone if you have Talks Premium which has Daisy 2 go or
as Jim said there is a free version which you can use on your computer or
laptop.

I have a plextalk pocket which I like for the ease of access.
I also have the plextalk PT1 from the rnib which I hate.
Is there a desktop version with buttons which give the same ease of
access as the Plextalkpocket?
