Hello,

I notice that you can have problems sending a message if it is on, but this is
usually if you don't re-start your phone on a regular basis. It seems to be a
problem if it is connecting to a wifi network, but has cellular connection too.
The normal text won't send as it keeps trying to send via iMessage. I sometimes
bring up control centre and disconnect/connect to the wifi and it sorts it out
too at times.

Hi Ian

I have never used iMessage until yesterday and because I couldn’t send a normal
text I had to turn it off. That is why I have no reason to use it.

I still can't understand why anyone would want to turn of iMessage.

Hi Janet.

You can turn off iMessage from the messages options in settings. Go to
settings, then in messages, select off when the on/off label for iMessage is
announced. Please note that this wil disable iMessage for both incoming and
outgoing messages, so anyone wishing to reach you must have your mobile number
in order to contact you; you won’t be reachable otherwise.

All the best, Ibrahim.
