[access-uk] Re: playing .ape files?

I can only assume then, that one is needed, as winamp will not play them as
is.

Simon,
.ape is the file extension for monkey's audio. It plays on Winamp, you
might need a plug in, although I've been playing them that way for
years. It's a lossless compressed format, very good.
