First, you can retrieve your JAWS activation code through the internet
if you're using an internet-based licence. Otherwise if you're using a
floppy licence, you'll need to transfer the key to your floppy before
formatting, then transfer it back once JAWS has been installed. Second,
your recovery media, if any, should contain all the drivers for your
computer. If not, you can download the drivers from the manufacturer's
website and burn them to a CD. Lastly, you cannot simply copy files for,
say, Word, to another medium, since after installing Windows from a
format and you copy the files back to Program Files, Windows won't know
how to load Word, to put it in a less technical manner, <smiles>. Hope
that helps, and good luck.
