Hi Steve.

Yeah, I think so. I checked on the Intel website using the automatic graphics driver identification tool which failed to find a match for my graphics chip and Samsung Update didn't come up trumps either. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling jaws first, see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks for your suggestion anyways.

Hi Ibrahim,

Also, do you have the latest video drivers? I don't have an NC10 here, but
worth looking for updates.

All the best

Steve

Hi Carol.

I'm glad you've confidence in my technical abilities *smile*, however even
the best of us come unstuck from time to time LOL. Thanks for your
suggestion anyway, I'll try reinstalling jaws to see if that solves the
problem. Its most annoying that this has happened because I can't interact
with the alerts on the screen if Mcafee pops any up, the only way of
interacting with alerts is to use the jaws cursor as they pop up on the
desktop.

Anyway, thanks and I'm sure I'll manage eventually.

Ibrahim, if it's not video related and probably not that windows have
become somehow corrupt and maybe not maximized, then maybe you'll solve it

if you do a system restore.

I know you're experienced in these matters ... so that's about all I can
think of for now.

Hi Chris.

That was my initial thinking, I uninstalled then reinstalled the video
intercept manager, but the same problem occurs.

All the best, Ibrahim.

This sounds like a video intercept or display settings issue to me.

Subject: [access-uk] problem with jaws on my netbook

Hi Everyone.

I am experiencing a technical issue with jaws on my NC10 netbook. For
some
reason, whenever I try using the jaws cursor or the invisible cursor
to locate objects or text on the screen, I am only getting blank,,
blank which
ever way I move the cursor. Similarly, when in list views, jaws
won't announce the item selected, saying something like no selected
item. Any insight in to this gratefully received.

All the best, Ibrahim.
