Hi George

Thanks for that link. I've followed the steps outlined, but got stuck.

I have a boot up cd, but I can't get it to read the cdrom. If I try to do any
commands, like, d:, it comes up with, "bad command or file name".

I tried making up another boot up disk, which says it has cdrom support files
on it, but the same thing happens.

Any suggestions why I can't access the cdrom after booting up with the floppy.

Thanks.

Terry

Have you tried contacting Microsoft? Tel: 0870 60 10 100

Before you do, take a look at the following
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/812247

Refer them to this Knowledge Base Article Number 812247 and ask them what the
procedure is here in the U.K.

  George.

  Subject: [access-uk] replacement xp cd,

  Hi all

I have looked on line for this topic, but can't find anything. Apologies for
being off topic.

I need to reinstall xp on to one of our pc's, but I think the xp cd is
damaged, due to problems when trying to install it.

The copy I have is a fully licensed version, and I obviously have the serial
number for it.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement cd, without having to buy
another licensed copy?

  Any help appreciated.

  Terry
