Hi,
Do you want a standard scanner or a lightweight one such as those
cannons of which you speak? I usually now recommend Epson models - I
like the stirdyness of the scanners etc (they before were a bit plasticy
so I recommended other brands). I stay away from HP as I don't find
their driver support grate.
I can't tell you the fastest Epson model though - I am out of touch with
the latest model - I still use a trusty Perfection 1240.

Hi All,
I need a new scanner - one that is easily installed and usable by a
totally blind person. Would appreciate any suggestions, and thanks for
any replies.
My old scanner was a Canon, and I was never happy with its
connection with its USB cable on the scanner, which was always wobbly,
and not very positive!
Must be a plug and play model.
