Hi,
If I were you I would try and find out from the Kurzweil list which ones
are fast with K1000 - they would all work, but some are quite slow
whereas others are quick - my scanner scans in around 8 seconds, meaning
that K1000 gets the document in around 9-10 seconds - whereas the
scanner downstairs scans in around 30 seconds - a large difference!

Yes, I prefer a sturdy, standard model - one compatable with
Kurzweil, version 9.02.
I have an Epson printer - have had it for years, and it has never
let me down, so I will have a look at their scanners on Monday at my
local PCWORLD.
