Try the 2480 - I have seen a lot of those with K1000 recently.  They seem OK, 
I've got one myself, not installed it yet though.

    Yes, I prefer a sturdy, standard model - one compatable with Kurzweil, 
version 9.02.
    I have an Epson printer - have had it for years, and it has never let 
me down, so I will have a look at their scanners on Monday at my local 
PCWORLD.
