Jo, I don't want to stick my oar in where it's not wanted, but if you live in London then you should be able to get a free Freedom pass from your local council. If not then you may, as you say, need to get your disabled railcard connected to your oyster card.

Can you connect an oyster card to the disabled persons railcard on line or does it have to be done at a station?

apologies for my last message I wasn't thinking. I mean about the oyster
card not what I said about the DPA.

The only way I can think of doing that is getting contactless debit card.
That way no oyster needed, and all he does is taps in and out with the
contactless card.

Hi guys can anybody help a friend of mine has an oyster card and is trying
to connect his debit card to it so that it will automatically top it up when
it gets low. Unfortunately nobody in the bank will help due to data
protection, and noone from transport for London will help for the same
reason. They have no computer so can’t do it online which is what they are
being told to do.

any help please

Janet
