Hi Terry,
Who told you this? It is rubbish! We have a combi boiler and a Cobolt
talking time stat and it works like a dream.
Ring them back and tell them it works on my combi boiler and they should
know this as they sold me the time stat.

Hi there

I rang cobolt today, and they said that their talking time stat doesn't work

with a combi boiler. Has anyone come across any other accessible
thermostats that will work with a combi?

Thanks.

Terry

Hello,

I had a new boiler for the central heating system
installed last Thursday, also using a grant from
Warm Front. The heating engineer who did the
assessment suggested putting in a mechanical
timer, as he said that I wouldn't get any help
from a digital timer. However, when they arrived
last Thursday, they brought the Cobolt talking
timestat with them - I hadn'ttold the engineer
about this product, so he must have done some good research.

The electrician removed the plug and socket from
the timer and connected it up permanently to the
boiler. It works well, but because the lead that
takes the current to the boiler is so short, the
timer has to stand on a worktop, which is not an ideal place for it.

Hope this helps.

Christopher
