Is it anything to do with dcm? Maybe you need to download some up-to-date drivers?...I remember reading something about systems running more than one version of access technology being prone to crashes and sudden reboots, but a new version of dcm or something was released to remedy the problem. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Damon Sent: 14 August 2005 21:39 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: websites cause total system shutdown steve, it does it with all versions of jaws that I have on my PC leading back to 4.5 This is a problem I've only had in the last 9 months. Since that time I should say that I have also installed ZoomText on my PC. ZoomText also causes my computer to closedown when run with JAWS. I'm running Zoomtext version 8.0 I should add that ZoomText is rarely switched on but I guess it's there in my computer's system even if it's not on. Thanks for your thoughts. ...Damon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2005 8:00 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: websites cause total system shutdown > Hi Damon, > > How about a new screen reader? <Smile>.
