Nancy Middleton (one of the new horn players) emailed me the other day asking if she could pass out programs at the concerts, as she doesn’t feel ready to perform on stage with us just yet. She also volunteered to help mind the donation box, if we can find one. (I have my old blue bucket we used for the outdoor 4th of July concerts, but honestly, I think that would look pretty crummy for indoor performances!) Does anyone have a nice canister or box that could be used to collect donations? I know we could use an open instrument case, but the last time we did that, I recall it didn’t work terribly well…
Nancy also asked if it was customary for the group to get flowers for soloists like Willow I’m not sure if we’ve given flowers since I’ve been in ACWE, but is this something we should consider for her? (I told Nancy that she wouldn’t need to get these herself, of course – it’d be something we would take care of.) Of course, I thanked her profusely for offering to help us out at our concerts, and I let her know that she is welcome to perform with us whenever she feels ready.
