I suppose with the ACWE board's blessing you can always tell members that small
ensembles will not be performing at Zilker this year.

Just fyi, I've gotten a couple of questions this week from acwe members about
Zilker. Should we consider an email with any updates/plans we might have? Or
would it be better to wait for more concrete info?

The decision will be based upon whether the city is willing to fund the
personnel and expenses needed to screen both both performers and audience to
make sure everyone has either has a vaccination card or proof of negative COVID
test.

Certainly, Zilker itself remains an unknown, for now.
But, I think ACWE putting together an attractive possibility (say, something
like what we did for the Fourth of July—as an example), might help them reach
a decision, more easily.
Perhaps we can ask them if they are interested in something of that nature (?)
