How do the plant oils (rape, sunflower, ..) stand as liquid propellants?
Probably not wonderful but could be okay. Some of the more
heat-resistant ones might even be okay for regen cooling. Rudolf Diesel
sometimes ran his prototype piston engines on peanut oil. Don't know
that anybody's actually tried it in a rocket.
oldish Diesels ( inline or distributor style injection pumps )
run rather unproblematic on food oils ( sunflower, rapeseed, ..)
discarded frying oil has been used too.
my guess would be that sufficiently heated (viscosity management)
the semi solid oils (palm, ..) should work too.
Nothing heard about olive oil.
( there is a widespread DIY movement to circumvent taxed diesel fuel.)
