Well, if were talking the same language, a Haskel pump converts low
pressure gas, 125 psi, to high pressure gas, or liquid, to 10000 psi via a
direct driven common shaft connecting the 2 pistons, low and high.

pump, but you're right - one can convert gas pressure to a rotary
motion without a turbine.
