~200l size drum )
On that project I've used Indium wire for a seal for vacuum flange
fittings ( but found the regular O-ring plus inner and outer
backing alu rings from the "lego" box for quick experiments of
comparable tightness)
Flange connections invariably were not a noteworthy source for leaks.
Weldings, material imperfections and a strange issue with the
oil vapor diffusion pump made life difficult though.
