Airborne, I believe.

I have hazy recollection of reading the datasheet several times before
flight and trying to get it in the best mode for flight. I'm pretty
sure we would have set it to Airborne.

Was this set to Airborne or Auto?

has anyone flown the really tiny Venus GPS modules on a rocket?

Yes, we flew the The Venus838 on Launch 12.

Got almost nothing useful. Flight envelop: acceleration peak: 10.9 g.
Velocity peak: 374 m/s (Mach 1.1). IMU says not that much vibration.

Venus8 said we were sitting still on the ground for almost the entire
flight ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sometime around apogee it suddenly starting reporting sensible numbers.

Interestingly it claimed to have lock on ~12 sats the entire time.
