Robert Goddard rocket engine exclusively film cooled and why his ISP was
only in the mid 100's for LOx/gasoline. For some unknown reason he never
employed regenerative cooling and I doubt he was too smart not to co invent
the concept but maybe he didn't think about it. I read his annals of his
work at his Roswell ranch circa 1930's he talked about gasoline entering
the CC tangentially and using pure sheet nickel.

Does anyone have any reasonable papers/resources on just standard film
cooling? I have been having a hard time finding any resources on the
subject beyond stuff like the basic blurb in Design of LPREs.
