Start with a deeply concave face? "ever increasing" is not infinite here
afaict.

Sometimes you can utilise thin inhibiter hollow rings spaced out down the
length of the propellant grain to geometrically offset (reset) any coning
effects or whatever non-uniform regression. There are many options to deal with
that issue although these requirements are quite exceptional for a solid.
