I've been joking they should have water thrusters instead. A lot more thrust and impulse for the same tank volume.

IIRC years ago somebody in one of the sci.space news groups jokingly proposed a rocket engine pointing up on the roof of a car. In a disaster scenario you can fire it so it pins the car down to the road and makes braking and high gee maneuvers etc a lot more effective.

With a compressed air water rocket you can just use a compressor and water.

… but I can’t find anything definitive about what these thrusters are planned to look like.  On one car enthusiast Facebook group I subscribe to, someone was claiming that Tesla was planning to put ten 400 lb thrusters around the vehicle which would be capable of firing for 90 seconds, which sounds silly just thinking about the mass of nitrogen required.

Does anyone here have any information/informed-speculation they could share about these potential Tesla thrusters?
