If you're willing to accept low flow rates, at 4500 psi they're
readily available for the paintball / airsoft market. Small ones can
be purchased for under $400. I assume at that price there are some
efficiency and longevity tradeoffs, but I don't know.

It would be reusable, but I wouldn’t think a compressor capable of getting to
5000-10000 psi would be called “simple”…

Compressed air makes more sense; since it's a car and not a rocket, the tank
can be refilled with a simple compressor, and now it's a reusable system and
not a one-shot disposable.

Any idea of what sort of thruster specs would be practical with such a setup?

My understanding is that they will be compressed air, fed from a tank where
the rear seats would have been.

to look like. On one car enthusiast Facebook group I subscribe to, someone
was claiming that Tesla was planning to put ten 400 lb thrusters around the
vehicle which would be capable of firing for 90 seconds, which sounds silly
just thinking about the mass of nitrogen required.
Does anyone here have any information/informed-speculation they could share
about these potential Tesla thrusters?
