The kid takes CDE. He doesn't have to do any projects, lit. or anything else as an external testee. He gets the grades from the tests and that's his bagrut grade. You should tell him to practice reading and writing in English and practice listening comprehension testing skills. (Ie. read and understand the questions as soon as you get the test so when you listen to the passage you know what to expect.) This is not an official answer - only my understanding of everything I've read up on anglit.net etc. If I'm wrong, please someone correct me.
