I certainly hope that this is NOT the case and it's not what I've
understood.  The idea is to reduce the amount of marking in order to
improve the quality of marking, not to simply increase pay, or at
least that's how I've understood it.  I don't honestly care how all
the exams get marked or how long it takes to mark them -- that's the
Ministry's problem, not mine (and that problem is going to be a lot
worse if we don't start marking next week).  If we have to mark past
the end of the summer, so be it, as long as the conditions are more
reasonable than they have been until now.
