Besides, we have to give a "magen" which reflects the years work and we certainly will not have a reasonably full set of tasks which have been graded which can justify a fair assessment. Admittedly, Grade 11 grades are also taken into consideration for the magen but certainly should have much less value compared to grades achieved towards the end of the process. A further problem is that the magen has to include 30% litereature, 30% reading assignment and 30% project in the E, F and G and certainly these elements have not been fully completed by this stage (I suppose this is true in all schools not just in our school!). I have informed the principal that we will not be doing any Bagrut exams in English this winter and for her it was obvious that this has to be the case. Unless pupils have been studying normally (in the Gaza envelope :-) or external students), it seems to me that Winter exams should not be an option.
