I have been following the discussions about the problems with the various
disputes between English teachers - the Irgun ha morim and the Ministry of
Education. It seems to me that it may be time to follow the addage of sports
teams: fire the entire management and support staff. In other words,: fire
or encourage resignation of the heads of irgun ha morim, English
inpectorate, and anyone in positions of authority who currently impact on
our English curriculums and replace them with people who are prepared to
listen to our demands and equally have new and fresh ideas. I have nothing
against Judy Steiner or any of her inspectors personally but sometimes a
change in management is what is needed.
