Daniel, You are right. It would be desirable to change the whole bunch. Starting at the VERY top. I mean, the Knesset, the Government, the ministers. Of, the Chief Inspector of English as well - unlike you, I DO have a lot of personal sentiments against Judy Steiner. And the inspectors as well. The $64K question is, who will bell the cat? Can YOU fire Judy Steiner and/or change the government? No?! Thought so. You know what? Neither can I. I cannot even send Ran Erez home and replace him with someone I like better. There is only one way of doing it: TOGETHER. As long as you guys keep throwing mud at each other and argue about the right way of teaching literature or projects, Judy Steiner and Gideon Saar can sleep soundly: they are in no danger of losing their armchairs. It's when you stand up together against all this that they should get worried. But to do so, you need another Ran Erez to lead you. A real leader. One of the reasons he is still where he is is because he is convenient for the Ministry. If he were a real pain in the ministry's rear door they'd have done something about him a long time ago. I even suspect that the fact there are TWO competing unions is too convenient for the ministry to attribute it to a coincidence. (Even though I was taught to never attribute to malice that which can be easily explain by sheer stupidity...) Teachers must either get together (and if they do they will find me walking the walk with them!) and make a change ("Yes, you can!") - or quit and start doing something else. Either way, things will change for better.
