You proceed by figuring out the weaknesses in the current trade union
election system.

Do you have any idea how guys like Ran Erez get elected and how they
manage to stay "elected" for so long? Have you ever taken part in the
union elections? How does it work?

You start with getting hold of your school union rep (who, too, has
not been elected in the true sense of the word - your school
administration simply would not let you elect a real militant fighter
for teachers' rights!)- and you ask him/her to produce a document that
explains the system of the union elections.

Most chances are the system is multilevel and indirect: teachers elect
school reps, who, in turn, elect regional bureaus, who, in turn, elect
the polutburo.

You should start at the grassroots level - get new elections, elect a
group of fighters, people who have very little to lose and so not
afraid to speak up (there might be only a few - the school
administration keeps bullying you to make sure you lose your ability
to fight - and most teachers can be easily sacked and are too scared
to speak up...). Once you have a school committee that can really
express your voice and your views, you establish ties with the next
school in the area and try to "export the revolution" there. It's a
slow game - takes a few years to complete - but it can be done. And
then you sack the regional marionettes and send your reps there. Once
you have the majority at this level you can finally get rid of the
union leadership that care more of their own well-being than of yours.

If you need a website to handle this struggle - a tool for
communicating with the like-minded colleagues - let me know. I will
gladly create and host one for it. Unlike ETNI that has to maintain a
politically-correct face, I can afford a completely
politically-incorrect stand - which is a sine qua non for
revolutionary activities. :) You cannot change systems and remain
politically correct. :)
