---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Esther Revivo <estherrevivo@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: In response This is not note about the literature program. This is a missive regarding ETNI etiquette and common courtesy. I believe that I was not the only teacher who was highly insulted by Hdar Yashar's scathing comments: "Unfortunately, I believe that what you describe is not a "fault" of the program but of the teachers. There's a distinct difference between a good teacher and great teacher. And with or without this program, literature is either taught well and with passion or not. Clearly, your students do not have great teachers." Who, pray tell allowed you to view our classrooms via their crystal ball? How dare you judge a large group of outstanding educators as 'wanting' merely for the fact that they disagree with you and the Ministry's opinion!! I believe that common courtesy demands we keep our comments here on ENTI related to facts and politely aired opinions sans mud-slinging at other hard working teachers who hold dissimilar ideas to our own no matter how dearly we hold them to our heart. I have NEVER judged anyone poorly for being in favor of the HOTS program, and expect the same common courtesy from others here! I believe an apology is owed to a great many ETNI followers and I hope it is forthcoming.
