Subject: Incomprehensible hogwash
When a native speaker who has spent the last four years at a high
school in Miami and was an honor English student receives a grade of
75 there has to be something wrong
This exam or log is not meant to be an indicator of intellectual
agility - it's an English exam no more no less
That is our brief...
We should not become so enamored with our collective egos and remember
that HOTS is , and will never be , the panacea for an ailing education
system.
It is certainly not up to the inspectorate to bully and belittle
dissenting voices.
We are not the foot soldiers in the battle for self promotion and
engrandisement.
Can we hear what real people have to say and not the ministry lackeys?
Yes we HAVE read the handbook and yes we HAVE taken the blasted course
and yes the kids are unable to prove their linguistic ability in a
fair and uncluttered manner.
The exam and log are crap
Speak up do... You have nothing to lose but your integrity
