To ALL Though I have TONS of complaints about the bad service we get from Harel, as with other "group policies", I find that as a group of consumers we don't complain and that's a pity for us. The past year I have complained to the Histadrut Bituch dept. (there is / are actually employees who wrk there, being paid to take care of us there and bear with all these service problems JUST BECAUSE ITS THEIR JOB!) and now for any reimbursement issue or problem with approvals OF TREATMENTS I contact Lutinger agency directly and cc the Histadrut. I told them that it's impossible to reach them once you sent something and the machines never let you in. this is intentional in my opinion, cause after all the complaints it should have been taken care of by now.But it stayed the same. I have had several cases the past year, all were not resolved by the MOKED, so I have opened a new channel and told them that if their system doesn't work maybe their CEO's and executives will, so I contact this woman and only she takes care of the suits that I file. Write her details and let her know that you are also informing the Histadrut as for the malfunctioning. It's not her job, but as I said, if this is how they handle their business, let them have it all. She took care of 3 cases, one has just ended yesterday, with an SMS that informed me that I was finally paid (money transferred directly to my bank account) after 4 months that I (due to them) wallowed in the shallow.... I cancelled a policy because they said that their policy would not be adjusted every 5 years and including oh so many things and now of course want more money for the tziudi part - all of these insurance deals are such a scam!!!! In addition, the communication with them is terrible as they stick to the rule of 30-days-reply. Every time you call or fax them, it takes ages until they get back to you. If you look closely in the policy details you'll find some irritating limitations regarding pregnant women, "ignoring" the fact that the vast majority of Histadrut Hamorim are female teachers. In short, I do not recommend joining Harel - Mekadem Briut. Other insurance companies are much friendlier.
