I have taught in a school where these young teachers have been placed.
Because they knew no Hebrew, and were dealing with very weak students, they
could not explain even the basic texts (forget Grammar). The students said they
spent most of the time teaching the teacher Hebrew. It was a lot of fun but
very frustrating, especially as they were supposed to be grateful for the extra
'help'.
