In reply to Stephen's note - most of the schools of the Minhal L'chinuch
Hityashvuti have one double lesson and two single lessons (and this is in
accordance with the Hozder Mankal). The rational behind this decision was
(and I presume still is) pupils need maximum exposure to the language which
should be spread over the week. (In some cases it may be convenient for the
school to set up a timetable of English on Monday and Tuesday. OR Wednesday
and Thursday). As the inspector for the Rural Sector I will enforce the
policy of the Ministry - one double lesson and two single lessons. If any of
my schools have a problem with this they are requested to be in direct
contact with me.
