Hello everyone, One of our customers is a high school student whose friends are hoping that he can use his gps to "crew" on a cross country bike ride. It is called Race Across America and goes from Oceanside, CA to Maryland. The race starts next week. For more information about this race you can visit http://www.raceacrossamerica.org/raam/raam.php?N_webcat_id=1 So I spent a couple hours on my day off to provide 3 separate POI databases for the turns, time stations and track waypoints along the way complete with all street, city, state, and zip code information for every point. You can go download the POIs from your account at www.gosendero.com and select the link 'User and Other POI Content' and then download the file using the link 'Race Across America' This zip file contains the turns, time stations, and track points for the 2011 RAAM race. Last updated, June 8 2011. [911 KB] These files will work on any Sendero based GPS system. All the POIs are in the Travel category and Transit Stop subcategory and all have in the POI name "RAAM". The Track points along the route only have the name of "RAAM TRACK". The Time Stations have names such as "TS 1: Lake Henshaw CA: RAAM Time Station", and the Turns have names such as "01A-R: RAAM TURN". I hope this student does join the team and these new databases will help him navigate. Since we can't do a route with this the best idea would be to find the next point along the route and set that as your destination and use the getting warmer method to navigate to that point, or even create a mini-route to the next turn although you do have to follow the "exact route" as defined by the track points. Anyways best we can do in such a short time. Good Luck! If anyone has more information about this please share it with us. Enjoy and Happy Biking!
