Hi,
The 2013 update gets downloaded into your downloads folder. You would
uninstall 2012 and run the 2013 version.

Downloaded Maps are located in your documents folder in a folder called
senderomaps\maps.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: Apex POI Question

Hi Cris,
Thanks for your answer.
But Sendero Maps didn't quite do it for me, or I didn't know what to expect,
hence my question.
When I had Maps 2012 download 2013 and the POIs and maps, I didn't find all
of it. For example, I found a zip file of the program with a CRC extension
and other symbols at the end, but didn't find what appeared to be the
program itself. I never found where Maps 2012 put the new maps on the C
drive, so I downloaded everything the old-fashioned way.
Anyway, I think (and hope) that everything's as it should be now. I copied
everything onto a folder on my SD card.
Sendero GPS on the Apex found that folder when I ran the program.
Later I found the sharedpois directory on the SD card and copied that folder
onto the Apex.
As a slightly off-topic side note, it may interest a few of you to learn
that DecTalk Express seems to think that Shared Pois is maybe a French word
pronounced something like sharrod pwah.

See my previous message on this subject.
If you use the SenderoMaps program to update your SD card you don't need
to worry where files go as SenderoMaps does it for you.

I'm finally updating my Apex Sendero software to 2013.
(Now that the year is half over.)
I'm a bit unclear about some earlier comments. Which poi files belong in
the
maps folder, and which do not?
