What we would need is some additional services for hosting GTFS dumps and
providing decent API's for mobile usage. Downloading huge files to mobile
is not very good idea. For example, GTFS for Helsinki area in Finland is
70M and it needs to be unpacked on device, then it takes more than 600M. If
we had some services on web where GTFS dumps would be hosted, it would
provide better possibilities to support time tables and route info in
mobile apps.
