OK, I saw the 9000 mile point in my history list, I go there then there is
no sign of it. I have not been able to find a method of deleting these
points since they are not points of interest.
Thanks,
Paul

What was the longitude you put in? You should just be able to delete the
point from your GPS like you've done before. I'm assuming you've done that,
right?

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Removing a Lon Lat Position I Created
Good morning,
Yesterday while trying to create a point from a lon lat setting in decimal
format I don't know how, but instead of being in NC it was created 5000
miles away then when I redid it I was 9 thousand miles from home. Now these
are still there and I have not been able to get them off. Any help
appreciated and below is what I did so you can also tell me where I screwed
up. Thank you.
I did CTREl Y which brought up the lon lat selection with the edit fields.
I had read to use a space between the degrees and minutes so typed in 36
08959 then the lat on the next line. I hit next and gave it a name and hit
OK. I was out in the middle of an ocean and a bit too far to swim. What
was wrong with this example?
Have a great day,
Paul Bolduc
