As far as the medical category is concerned there are not enough categories
to cover all needs. You only seem to have Dental, General, Hospital and
Optician. The problem is that in the UK a General Practitioner is what we
call the general doctor you call when something hurts or doesn't seem to
work properly. My wife is a chiropodist (pediatrist I think over there) and
only deals with foot problems.
I detail the three local medical services that I think are misledingly
categorised and my local doctor who I would consider to be correctly.

Restaurants/pubs
Difficult to know what to suggest here. The English pub is a drinking house.
Many do not serve food at all. However the Alcohol establishment category
does not have an appropriate subcategory. Most pubs seem to be listed as
Restaurant, with a subcategory of cafe, which is definitely not right (in
some you would be chucked out for asking for coffee).
Other restaurants seem to be categorised reasonably well.

Thank you for your feedback and I would like to see what I can do to
try to improve the sub-categories for the UK and all other European
POIs. The dataset I get from TeleAtlas is completely different
between North America from Europe, and I have to have different
mappings to convert their POI categories and sub-categories into our
own smaller set of categories and sub-categories. If you feel a
sub-category is in error I can try to see what can be done to fix the
issue but I will need a little information from you.
First I will need a Third Party ID for the POI in question (which you
can get from the POI Details.)
Then I will need the current Category and Sub-category the POI is in,
and then what category/subcategory you think it should be in
instead. If you can provide 2 examples for each issue then I can go
back to the original Data from TeleAtlas and see what category and
sub-category they had the POI set to and then figure out if I can
re-map them to the requested new category/subcategory.
I may not be able to do anything but I will let you know what I find
out. I.E.if you say that a Pub is listed under Restaurant, but if I
find that these Pub's have the same TeleAtlas Category number as
other real restaurants then I won't be able to fix the problem
because I will just move all restaurants to pubs or vice versa which
won't help anything. But I won't know what the issue is until I have
more information.
