I just obtained the I Blue receiver and I am very happy with it. It is much quicker to respond and holds the signal much better.I am wondering if the battery charger from my old Holex 236 will work with the I Blue. I have a charger with the I Blue, of course, but if the holex charger also works, it makes it easier to have a second one for traveling etc.Gil Johnson----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles LaPierre" <charles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, June 19, 2009 9:00 AM Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: a virtual featureThanks Carol, Yes all of the issues you raise are on our radar. In truth, I don't feel very confident instructing a driver because of therather long instructions for roundabouts so had to confine myself to usingthe GPS only to get about myself and to find routes.Yes, I agree, alternative routes would also be nice. (Wouldn't it be great if we were told how many routes we could take and the distance in each case, and any other relative information we chose to be given before we got the route instructions.) Anyway, that's all in my "Wish List" for the moment.I am sure all of you at Sendero continue to work very hard indeed with many constraints in time and maybe finances too; but I do hope you can addresssome of these issues soon so that we can continue to use the leading GPS system not just for the blind but, well, for all! <Smiles> -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ---- Original Message ---- From: "GianniP46" <giannip46@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, June 19, 2009 4:15 PM Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: a virtual featureI am still asking for quickest verses shortest route. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael May" <MikeMay@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, June 19, 2009 9:55 AM Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: a virtual featureExcellent idea. The original Atlas program had this feature. We'll make sure that is added to the wish list. When I go somewhere I normally, set the destinnation by using the existing POI of the POI database or create my own POI using the address look up. When I arrive the destination, it is normally very accurate, but sometimes it is somewhat off or not quite where I like it to be. Then I would delete the original POI that I used for the destination, and I create one using GPS mode. But then I would have to reenter all the information again: the address number, the phone number and so on. It would be great if I could just enter on the original POI and give it a command and it would update the location to the current position. Does this make sense?
