Hi,
Good luck Kevin. I am using it somewhat, will have more time
this summer as school is over on June 30. In September I am
playing hookey and going to Seeing Eye for a weeks training. If
that doesn't help than I am hopeless. Am really looking forward
to it.
Linda

Dear GPS listserv,
I have notice while using the Holux reciever that for some oddreason itwill lose the bluetooth connection between the BrailleNote andthe reciever, this will occur when I am in the gps program, it isn't because itis out ofthe bluetooth range, I have notice this occuring while eitherwhen I amwalking, so the reciever is fastened in the shoulder strap andtheBrailleNote is about hip levvel. I am certtain that it isn't amatter of thebluetooth being out of range.
I have also notice the same incident occuring when I am travelingin avehicle. When I am traveling in a vehicle, I will place thereciever on thedash and have the BrailleNote on my lap in the front passengerseat. I wouldsay that in both incidents at all times the reciever is no morethan 3 feetaway from the brailleNote, so aI am certain that it isn't amatter of thebluetooth being out of range, because if it was a matter of thebluetoothbeing out of range, then I would of noticed the same thingoccuring withthe BlueLogger , which I have never seen happened.
I have also notice that when I am switching both the BrailleNoteand theHolux off for aperiod of time, then turning it back on when Ineed to useit, that sometimes the two devices will pair and activesync willbe active, but when I go into the GPS Program it says "bluetooth recievernotdetected." Then after a while with switching the Holux off and onandswitching bluetooth off and on, it will suddenly come back andwill have afix. I have notice that this can take as long as 30 seconds to5 minutes, which I find pretty excessive.
I will list the steps that I go through when turning off theBrailleNote andthe Holux, I have tried turning them off two different ways tosee if that5, 6, towould make a difference, which I have not found to be true. Technique 1. 1. While in the GPS Program, hit space bar with dots 1, 2, 3, 4,no.get to the main menu. 2. hit the spacebar with the letter o to get to options menu 3. hit the letter c for connectivity 4. hit the letter b for bluetooth. 5. when it ask is bluetooth on, I will press the letter n forBrailleNote6. Then I will turn off the Holux 8. Then I will return back to the main menu, and turn off the
will sayTechnique 2. 1. While in the GPS Program, I will turn off the recievver, itbluetooth is"bluetooth reciever not detected." 2. I will then return to the main menu 3. I will go to options, connectivity, bluetooth, I will see ifBrailleNote.off, if it isn't I will turn it off. 4. Then I will return back to the main menu and turn off the
I will list the steps below that I use when turning on the twodevices, again I tried two different ways to see if that would make adifference, itto see if theturns out that it doesn't. Technique 1. 1. Turn on the Holux 2. Turn on the BrailleNote 3. Go into options, connectivity, bluetooth, turn it on, checkHolux is paired and active. 4. I will then go into the GPS program
bluetooth,Technique 2. 1. Turn the BrailleNote on, then go into options, connectivity, turn on bluetooth, then make sure it is paired and active. 2. turn on the Holux 3. Open the GPS Program.
I am not sure if the issue lies in the steps that I am goingthrough, whichI don't think it does; I don't think that it is the steps, because these arethe same steps that I went through using the BlueLogger and itworked justfine. I just thought that I would list the steps just in casethere is onethat I should use over the other.
So, I am wondering if any of you have also experience thebluetooth recievernot detected message showing up whihle you are in the GPSprogram, and notbeing able to make the bluetooth connection work between theBrailleNoteafter you have checked to see that they were indeed paired andactive. Ifyou have found a special technique that you have found to workflawlessly,do share. If none of you have experience this same issue, thenit might be amatter of me having a defected reciever, which I will phone mydealer about.
Thank you for taking your time in reading this post, and I amlookingforward to what you are able to suggest.
Kevin
