I think it would be neat to have the nearest POI on the location screen and if clicked it could show you your nearby POIs.

Ah ok, just a suggestion, you may want to do things the way nearby explorer
does, I'm not saying the sendero app should do everything the way another app
does, but it is a bit easier. The way it works is, the text field for a search
is available, but the nearest pois are also displayed on the same screen. Also,
it would be nice to see the closest point of interest on the location screen
since that's probably going to be the screen you will use when you are not
doing a search or following a root.

Hello Mike, no way yet to customize the location screen to only speak what
you want when shaken (on the feature list :) Also no auto announce
addresses, we could add that feature to the list too. As for finding
nearest POIs just press enter without a search term and it will find the
nearest ones to you.
Thanks.

Hey everyone, ok, I took the app out for a walk, a few observations. I could
be missing something here, but either I am missing something or the app is
missing a few major features. On the location screen, the street you are on
was automatically spoken, but, when walking down a street the nearby
distance was not automatically spoken as it decreased. I could read this
information by finding it on the screen, but I should not have to do this. I
could shake the phone to refresh the screen, but then the entire screen is
spoken which is too much speech at once. Also, when selecting the POI
button, I could do a search, but is there a way to just list the POIs I am
close to? Also, while walking, the app never announced what POIs I was close
to, does the look around wand need to be enabled for that to work? I would
say the app is off to a good start, but work on it definitely needs to
continue. To change your email settings (unsubscribe, digest only, or
