I am not an advanced user of the Sendero products, but I have owned and used the Trekker for several years. For me, and this is just me, I see two issues. One is information overload. Actually, I don't want my GPS solution to give me so much info that I am distracted from using other mobility and orientation skills, I. e. paying attention to traffic, etc. The other thing is, that so far, the only thing that programs like Navigon do not do that Sendero does is the automatic announcement of upcoming intersections. And, there are ways to get that info from programs like Navigon, but the automatic announcement is a nice convenience that I like. But there are other blind GPS users who do not like, or need that feature, because for them, it is too much information, and they are more focused on when they need to take an action like turning, etc. Andy -----Original Message----- From: gps-talkusers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:gps-talkusers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mike Arrigo Sent: Thursday, June 09, 2011 5:34 PM To: gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: sendero GPS on iphone and android I'd be curious to know what features you can't find? The only real one I can think of is being told how many feet a place is from you, or how many feet a street crossing is, that would be nice, but it's not really something I miss personally.
