I had an idea to create a sort of interactive session manager for i3 tying
together IPC and a WebKit instance (perhaps through LuaKit). Is it
technically possible to provide dimensions when creating containers through
IPC? If not, would this be introduced when session management is added?


I see that resize can take dimensions. Sorry for the stupid question.

But I wonder why this isn't being presented to users as a temporary option
for setting up session management in either .i3/config or using a script?
