[Ilugc] Apache Web Server Doubt..

Are you accessing the "WAN" port from your LAN? If so, your packet is
being processed at the LAN port of your router. You need to access
the "WAN" port from another node on the `Net e.g. your
friend/colleague.
thank you.. i have port forwarded port 41286 in my router and it works
fine when accessed from outside..
can u please explain more on the LAN and WAN ports..
and also when the port is forwarded with UDP protocol,, my web server
is not accessible.. why??
and when i give the domain name separately.. like foo.foo.net/ it
displays a page with 'It works!'.. when i give it with
foo.foo.net/index.html only the page of my router settings is
displayed...
Can i take it that.. it's because of the fact that maybe in the
DirectoryIndex entry of conf file of micro_http runnin on the router..
some other file is given as the index page instead of index.html...
or am i simply complicating things..?
Also the 'It works' page comes only when i use foo.foo.net/ in the
addr line.. and the setting page only appears when i use my local lan
ip of the router or its external ip at that time.... So what is
exactly happening here??
