Forwarding is applied to traffic that arrives in from the WAN side in

HTTP runs over TCP and not UDP.

and when i give the domain name separately.. like foo.foo.net/ it
displays a page with 'It works!'.. when i give it with
foo.foo.net/index.html only the page of my router settings is
displayed...
If you give foo.foo.net, you will land on the router and show the router 
page if administration access is enabled on the WAN port. If you give 
foo.foo.net:41286 then your packets will be forwarded.

Behaviour you have described looks weird. Have you missed telling us 
something else?
