Can anyone help us. We installed RedHat Linux 9 and installed Oracle 8.1.7.
This server was used for back up purpose. Due to some reason, the main server
which was working in SunSolaris 5.8 with Oracle 8.0.5., should be discarded.
All work we did as if in the Main Server. Now we can connect the Oracle as
Oracle User. But other users and through ODBC we could not connect the Linux
Server. The error is :
ORA12154 TNS could not resolve service name.
We try to ping the server from client side and we could get reply.
Is there any issue between SunSolaris and Linux?
